Add a Weather Guarantee Up to the Day Before a Booking

We’ve improved our blended forecast to offer more guests the assurance of good weather—even when they book at the last minute.

Before, guests could only add a Weather Guarantee when booking five or more days in advance. Now, guests can add a Weather Guarantee in as little as 24 hours in advance of their reservation.

This means guests who are booking only a day or two in advance and guests with an uncertain weather forecast no longer have to worry - they can add a Weather Guarantee to their booking and Sensible will watch the weather for them.

This gives our partners new ways to use Weather Guarantees to improve your business

  • Increase bookings in the days before an uncertain forecast
  • Decrease cancellations by letting guests add a Weather Guarantee to their existing reservation instead of canceling

Weather Guarantees will automatically be available on close-in reservations for partners using Sensible’s API or Post-booking email campaigns starting August 4th, 2022. As a partner, you won’t need to make any changes to your existing integration.

How it works

Sensible uses our probabilistic forecasting capabilities and the processing speed of our Climate Engine to create a richer view of forecast uncertainty in real time. This allows us to offer Weather Guarantees a few days in advance, even when your phone app shows rain. 

Important to Know

Weather Guarantees will not always be available. If our analysis shows certainty of weather having a negative impact, then we will not be  able to offer a Weather Guarantee.
