How it works
Guests can purchase a Weather Guarantee™ during online booking. We'll monitor the forecast and proactively reimburse them if bad weather is present. No claims, no hassle.
Guests book their trip online
Guests can purchase a Weather Guarantee during the online reservation process. The cost and Guarantee details will be shown at the time of purchase.
Sensible watches the weather
When the reservation is completed with a Weather Guarantee, guests will receive communication from Sensible Weather reiterating the terms of the guarantee and outlining what to expect.
Get in-trip reimbursement
Guests still go on their trip. Each day of their stay, guests receive an email from Sensible about the weather. If a reimbursement is triggered, they will receive an email and text with a link to collect payment.
Offering the Weather Guarantee
Hotels can activate the Weather Guarantee offer in the Aven Booking Engine Designer. See steps below:
- Log in to Aven Central Reservations System
- Navigate to Setup > Channels > Booking Engine > Booking Engine Designer
- Go to Pages > Guest & Payment. In ‘Third-Party Offers’, check the box for ‘Sensible Weather’ and click ‘save’.
