Sensible Weather is expanding the availability of its Weather Guarantee to hotels in France, Austria, and the Caribbean, building on existing coverage across the United States, Switzerland, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
The expansion follows a milestone year for Sensible Weather, with more than 1,400 hotels and resorts activating Weather Guarantees in 2025. The growing adoption reflects rising demand from both travelers and hospitality brands for solutions that reduce weather-related uncertainty when booking travel.
The newly supported regions allow more hotels in leading leisure destinations to offer guests added confidence when booking their stay, while helping properties reduce weather-related cancellations and improve booking conversion.
Weather Guarantees are offered as an optional add-on during the online booking process. Guests still travel as planned, and if qualifying bad weather occurs during their stay, Sensible Weather automatically reimburses them. The reimbursement is handled entirely by Sensible Weather, meaning there are no claims, no forms, and no operational impact for hotel teams.
“As travel becomes more experience-driven, weather plays an even bigger role in how guests choose where and when to travel,” said Nick Cavanaugh, CEO of Sensible Weather. “Expanding into France, Austria, and the Caribbean allows more hotels in some of the world’s most sought-after leisure destinations to give guests confidence in their plans while protecting revenue from weather disruptions.”

Expanding into France, Austria, and the Caribbean allows more hotels in some of the world’s most sought-after leisure destinations to give guests confidence in their plans while protecting revenue from weather disruptions.
The newly supported regions include destinations where weather plays a central role in the travel experience, from Mediterranean coastal destinations in France, to Alpine resorts across Austria, to beachfront properties throughout the Caribbean.
Hotels operating on supported booking platforms such as SynXis, Amadeus iHotelier, AZDS, and others can activate Weather Guarantees with minimal setup.
As Sensible Weather continues to expand globally, the company remains focused on helping travel and hospitality partners create more resilient booking experiences while ensuring that guests still travel and enjoy their stay, even when the forecast changes.
