For the next week, Sensible Weather will offer a Solar Eclipse guarantee for all events or vacations booked on Apr 8, 2024 that go through the path of totality. The Company is so confident in its forecasting data and analytics that it's willing to guarantee the eclipse will occur, or your money back.

The anticipation for the upcoming solar eclipse is palpable, as enthusiasts prepare to witness the breathtaking dance of celestial bodies. Yet, amidst the excitement, one lingering concern persists: the uncertainty of the eclipse occurring as predicted. However, a groundbreaking concept has emerged to alleviate this uncertainty: Eclipse Guarantees.

To determine if the Solar Eclipse will actually happen, Sensible uses proprietary cutting-edge technology and data from NASA to measure the forecast light in the atmosphere at each location along the path of totality to determine if the eclipse will happen.

So, how does it work? Customers can add an Eclipse Guarantee at the time of their booking, for just 8-12% of the cost of their trip. If the solar eclipse doesn’t happen, Sensible will automatically issue a reimbursement for the trip. If there is a partial eclipse, customers will get a partial refund that is equal to the partial percentage that the moon blocks the sun’s light. As with Sensible’s Weather Guarantees for rain and heat, there is no need for guests to file a claim or cancel the planned activity to receive their reimbursement.
